Author Bruce Brilliantine’s New Book ‘The Trail of the Wolf’ is a Psychological Thriller Full of Action and Adventure That Portrays a Fight Against Evil
Recent release “The Trail of the Wolf” from Newman Springs Publishing author Bruce Brilliantine is a suspenseful story with a twist that follows the journey of the hero Dr. Jordan Blaine as he attempts to rid the world of a dangerous werewolf. The author, Bruce Brilliantine, has done an excellent job of describing what can happen when you are pulled away from your primary purpose in life, into an in-the-moment quest that demands your attention.
Chesterfield, NJ – November 14, 2022 – (Newswire.com)
Bruce Brilliantine has completed his new book “The Trail of the Wolf”: a gripping and provocative tale that can be compared to the works of Stephen King and John Steinbeck. It is powerful and poignant, not only because of the theme of the insidiousness of evil in the story but also because the author has gone to great lengths to portray this theme in a realistic manner using the venue of a killer werewolf. The plot is intricate, suspenseful, and entertaining as it pulls the reader through the main character’s journey. The story, though fiction, is expressive and relates to the universal insidiousness of evil which affects our lives even today.
The book includes much insight into the human condition. When asked of what she thought of humans the newly turned werewolf girl, June replied, “As far as humans go, you included, I think you are more wonderful and marvelous than you could ever imagine. You have no idea who you are. You think it relates somehow to your job, family name, your country, your wealth, your religion or anything else you deem valuable and important. The truth is that these things, either singly or altogether, with which you identify and sometimes worship, they cannot support the full weight of your soul and who you truly are. You are too marvelous for words, and yet is a population, so blind.”
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Bruce Brilliantine’s debut novel is a horrifying and engrossing tale of a man who is ensnared into a world he never knew existed or wanted in order to destroy a killer werewolf. He is constantly led onward by circumstances and individuals of which he has no control. He’s motivated to join the chase by the welfare of his family and the horror he witnessed when he met June, a nine-year-old girl who survived the massacre of her family. The book will appeal to fans of horror, scientific investigation, thriller and suspense genres.
Readers who wish to experience this mesmerizing work can purchase “The Trail of the Wolf” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.

Author Richard Boyd’s New Book ‘From the Ballfields to the Coalfields’ is a Captivating Memoir That Chronicles the Forty-Plus-Year Career of a Teacher and Coach
Recent release ‘From the Ballfields to the Coalfields’ from Newman Springs Publishing author Richard Boyd is a compelling memoir that takes readers through the author’s unbelievable memories with his family, childhood friends, teaching and coaching friends, and kids he coached.
KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. – November 11, 2022 – (Newswire.com)
Richard Boyd, who lives on the outer banks of North Carolina, has completed his new book “From the Ballfields to the Coalfields”: an engaging memoir that invites readers to join the author as he relives the highlights of his life, sharing memorable anecdotes and fascinating stories from his various experiences.
Following a career of over 40 years as a teacher and coach, author Richard Boyd decided to write a book that sent him on a journey from the ball fields as a child to the coalfields as an older adult. Coach Boyd stayed on the ball fields as a child and finished his teaching and coaching career living in the small coal-mining community of Dante, Virginia, in far southwest Virginia. Because of his many years as a coach, most people call him simply “Coach.”
From 1963 until 2010, Coach Boyd taught and coached most of those years in the state of Virginia. He taught health and physical education, American history, and geography. For most of the years that he taught, Coach Boyd also coached football, basketball, or baseball. Besides coaching, Coach Boyd played amateur organized baseball until the age of 40. He pitched against Hall of Famer Jim “Catfish” Hunter and was on a team that played against another Hall of Famer, the great Willie Mays.
Richard Boyd discusses his work, writing, “From the Ball Fields to the Coalfields is written to be nonfiction, although some stories are hard to believe. The lifetime of experiences mostly occurred in three regions of Virginia and some in Concord, North Carolina. The three regions in Virginia were the coastal tidewater area, the Shenandoah Valley, and the coalfields of far southwest Virginia. The people involved are friends, family, teachers, coaches, pro-athletes, my baseball teammates, and so many wonderful kids that I taught or coached.”
He continues, “Before my time on the ball fields, the book covers my grandfather’s part in helping with the Great Depression and an early part of my family in Concord, North Carolina. The period covers a period about being a World War II child, gangs of the fifties, school and amateur baseball, glory years of sports by way of radio, how army and college life was over fifty years ago, and how it was to be a teacher and coach for most of the period beginning in the early 1960s until 2010. Racial equality is one of America’s top issues. Chapters 20, 22, 23, and 27 demonstrate how far our nation has gone to be equal, but we still have a way to go. The chapters stress my involvement with African American treatment before Dr. Martin L. King’s speech about freedom.”
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Richard Boyd’s engrossing work allows readers to share in the author’s lifetime of incredible memories.
Readers who wish to experience this mesmerizing work can purchase “From the Ballfields to the Coalfields” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
